Kishaia Gordon

Kishaia “KP” Gordon (she/her) is a movement artist originally from Atlanta, Georgia, where she trained extensively in both concert dance and commercial hip-hop. A 2025 magna cum laude graduate of Point Park University, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in Modern.
Early in her career, Kishaia was a company member of the AB Project under the direction of Anthony Burrell, where she performed at the International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) Conference. She has since performed works by acclaimed choreographers including Martha Nichols, Camille A. Brown, Ray Mercer, Earl Mosley, Nacho Duato, Candace Brown, Juel D. Lane, and Rennie Harris.
Blending concert and commercial dance with influences from African and liturgical traditions, Kishaia brings both generational richness and dynamic versatility to her work. As a performer, educator, and choreographer, she is committed to pushing the boundaries of movement through culture, authenticity, and storytelling. She continues to teach and create in both concert and competitive dance spaces, with a practice rooted in technical excellence, artistic expression, and a deep appreciation for community. Kishaia is thrilled to join Red Clay Dance Company for its 18th season and looks forward to contributing to the company's legacy of artistic excellence and cultural impact.
