This In The Making Informal Showcase invites dancers, movers, poets, filmmakers, and interdisciplinary artists from across Chicago to share works-in-progress in a supportive, low-pressure environment. This quarterly gathering is a space to explore, experiment, and connect.

Hosted by Maliaka Hughes, the evening features short performances by local artists, moments of audience reflection, and a post-show mixer where guests can meet the artists and exchange ideas.

Whether you’re presenting your work or cheering from the audience, this is a space for growth, dialogue, and celebration of artistry in motion.
