Honoring the Legacy of Black Womanhood

Red Clay Dance Company opens the Black History Month Matinee Series at Kennedy-King College with two student performances of Her Womb: Crucified, Conceived, Crescent, Congo... The Gathering, choreographed by Michelle N. Gibson.

Performances will take place at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

This work celebrates the strength, spirituality, and resilience of Black womanhood, weaving together movement, rhythm, and ritual from across the African Diaspora. Created as both reflection and remembrance, Her Womb invites young audiences to honor ancestral stories that continue to shape our collective future.
