Red Clay Dance Company Debuts at Harris Theater for La Femme Dance Festival 2024
On March 14–16, 2024, Red Clay Dance Company presented its landmark performances at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance as part of La Femme Dance Festival — a three-day celebration of women choreographers of the Black/African Diaspora, featuring legendary choreographer Fatima Robinson and multiple world premieres.

Rest.Rise.Move.Nourish.Heal. Premieres
Red Clay Dance Company closed its 14th season in June 2023 with the world premiere of Rest. Rise. Move. Nourish. Heal., a site-responsive dance ritual by Vershawn Sanders‑Ward and collaborators at Art on the Farm. The work, supported by a 2021 National Dance Project award, reclaimed ancestral traditions through movement and healing.

In late August 2021, Red Clay Dance Company celebrated the opening of its Woodlawn Center, establishing a permanent home for Artivism, community engagement, and dance education on Chicago’s South Side.
